This piece consisted of pulled cane that were arranged to represent erosion.

Using molten glass gathers I constructed a 3-foot tall form and set it up to fail. I did this by assembled outside of the annealer; the scale made it seems strong and sturdy, but the method of construction betrayed it. The piece only survived for 48 hours.

This was an exploration in centrifugal force. This texturing method is reminiscent of the 1970’s glass movement and will be pursued throughout 2019.
